Bernal Blue

Full Home Remodel + Roof Deck | Bernal Heights, San Francisco

This project began as a follow-up to a previous facade remodel, with the homeowners returning to complete a full interior renovation of their San Francisco home.

The scope focused on the upper two levels, where we reorganized the layout to create an open kitchen, dining, and living space, along with a new primary suite featuring a large steam shower and access to a roof deck with city views.

The remodel also included five updated bathrooms, new hardwood flooring throughout, rebuilt stairs and railings, and custom built-in storage, including closet systems and a wall bed. Doors, windows, trim, and finishes were updated to create a more cohesive interior.

To bring more natural light into the home, we added a large skylight above the kitchen and incorporated custom walkable skylights at the roof deck. Rear-facing windows were expanded, and a new front-facing window at the primary suite captures additional light and views.

The homeowner chose a playful layer of color throughout the home, using a favorite shade of blue both inside and at the new front door.

The result is a bright, open home with improved flow, natural light, and a more cohesive connection between interior and exterior spaces.
